With a menu that evolves and a delicious cabinet selection, Sandbar Eatery takes advantage of fresh local produce of the region and the kitchen team work tirelessly to always out do themselves.
Chef and owner, Andrew Rennie, established Sandbar Eatery with his brother, Mark, seven years ago after their parents suggested opening a restaurant. Andrew had always been passionate about cooking and today, he is just as passionate, producing exquisite food from the kitchen. Sandbar Eatery is still a family affair and these days Andrew runs the restaurant with his wife, Suzanne, the delightfully bubbly maitre’d.
Sandbar offers a wonderful wine list with both local, national and international wines to compliment any dish you choose. More of a beer drinker? Sandbar stock some of the Sawmill Brewery craft beer range, produced up the road in Leigh, along with the usual favourites. If its something lighter your after, there is plenty of other beverages on offer including the delicious Veloce blend from Atomic coffee roasters.
Sandbar has recently undergone a very tasteful re-fit. Inside is now bright and modern with plenty of space. New furnishing new layout and some other quirky extras really help add to the ‘industrial chic’ vibe. Outside the new covered outdoor area is perfect for enjoying a refreshing drink and dodging the hot summer sun with the family on the couches.
